There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the brute’s death.

In 2013, Scott admitted stalking a 13-year-old girl by sending letters from prison.

Four years later, the yob was sentenced over a series of violent incidents at Glenochil Prison including striking a nurse on her back with a chair, punching a prison officer and spitting at another.

Scott was serving an indefinite sentence as is subject to a lifelong restriction order meaning release would only have been granted when the prisoner was no longer considered an “unmanageable risk to public safety”.

Previously known as a man called Andrew Burns, Scott had applied to be moved from a male jail to a women’s only wing.

But it was blocked following the furious backlash over the Isla Bryson case.

The double-rapist was initially sent to a women’s prison despite committing the offences while living as a man.

But Bryson was moved to a male wing in a men’s prison after ex First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she did not believe a rapist should be in a women’s jail.

A Scottish Prison Service spokesperson said: “Tiffany Scott, 32, of HMP Grampian has died on 29 February 2024.

“With each death in custody, Police Scotland are advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Fatal Accident Inquiries are held in due course.”
