SCOTS comedian Stu Who? has died after a battling illness for years, his son has revealed.
The stand up – who also had TV roles including Rab C. Nesbitt – passed away this morning.

Writing on his dad’s Facebook page son Khal said: “Just a short message to let everyone know that Stu passed away this morning.
“He’s been very ill for some time and although this has been an incredibly upsetting day for the family, there’s some relief that he’s not in pain any more.
“We’re at the very early stages of planning his funeral and I’ll post details here when I have them.
“At this time we’d greatly appreciate some privacy and time to grieve, this is for Maggi in particular.
“Also, could I request that only close family visit Maggi at home.
“I understand that people will want to express their thoughts here, I’ll leave this to you all.
“I’ll post again when I have more information.”
Scots comedian Ray Bradshaw was quick to pay tribute to his pal – real name Stuart Henderson – online.
He said: “Absolutely gutted to hear of the passing of scottish comedy legend Stu Who.
“He always encouraged every new comic on the scene, gave great advice to those breaking through and also told some absolutely ridiculous tales of his past.
“A maverick.”
Fellow funnyman Marcus Ryan said: “RIP Stu Who. Scottish comedy lost a great one.”
Jane Godley added: “Stu Who’s backstage stories were f****** insane and legendary. Everyone has a story about Stu Who and his stories – he will be so missed.”
Stu, who is believed to have been in his 70s, used to be a regular on BBC Radio Scotland and was a familiar face on the comedy circuit before illness curtailed his career.
He won the Spirit of Mayfest at the Glasgow Arts Festival in his first year as a stand-up performer and went on to play sell-out shows up and down the country.
In 1990 he had a cameo in Rab C. Nesbitt then another small part in 2000 footie movie A Shot at Glory which starred Ally McCoist.
