SUPERSTAR US rapper Childish Gambino has revealed a huge Glasgow show.
The music star – the alter ego of Hollywood actor Donald Glover– is putting on the 28 November gig at the OVO Hydro as part of his world tour.
Starting in August “The New World Tour” also features shows in Manchester, London and Birmingham as well as performances in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Fans online were quick to welcome the news.
One said: “Childish Gambino coming to Glasgow I used to pray for times like this.”
Another added: “Childish Gambino is coming to Glasgow I won.”
It comes after Glover, 40, previously told fans that his 2018 tour would be “the last Childish Gambino tour ever.”
After winning a Grammy for best traditional R&B performance six years ago, he reiterated his intention to end the musical project.
He said: “I like endings and I think they’re important to progress.”
Glover previously revealed his love of Scottish accents – but feared he’d be “cancelled” for trying one.
The actor had a go at copying TV reporter Jodie McCallum’s Glaswegian patter during a red carpet chat in London.
Comic Glover asked: “Was that okay? Am I going to get cancelled for this?”
But Jodie reassured him: “Good for you for giving it a go.”
He gushed: “I love that accent, it’s cool.”
At the age of just 23 Glover became a writer for sitcom 30 Rock and is the brains behind hit show Atlanta, which he also starred in.
He has also had big roles in a number of movies including Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story and the voice of Simba in the remake of the Disney film The Lion King.
Glover recently helped create and stars in a “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” series reboot for Amazon Prime.
